MP-01 was created from the desire for "a much simpler way to listen to CASTRON speaker". It was made as compact as possible while keeping its special enclosure made of ductile cast iron. Of course, the sharpness and clarity of its sound is inherited from Mk1 and Mk2. The MP-01 audio playback ability is excellently demonstrated on a desktop or in small spaces, but even as a small sized speaker for normal audio use, the audio can still be enjoyed well enough.
With "seamless" enclosure using the highest grade special cast iron, making its thickness only 5 mm, this has ensure its internal capacity, and along with an effective reinforcement, suppresses any unnecessary vibration.
Stationary wave is controlled by eliminating parallel panels apart from the front and back panels.
Making the best use of 5600 m/second speed of sound transmission properties that the ductile cast iron has, a high-speed sound is realized without losing its rhythmic sense due to the improvement of the phase lag of the box echo between the diaphragm and enclosure.
The shape of the front baffle is not simply an eye candy. It is an excellent piece that can be used upright, or placed on its side. The color can be chosen from three choices of red, black and white.
Because the ductile cast iron enclosure blocks magnetic fields, it can be used for AV. Of course, it is rather costly for PC use, but a splendid effect can be obtained. (When connecting to a PC, amplifier will be necessary.)
By combining sub-woofers, MP-01 will allow you to enjoy music or movies with surprising intensity.
